JUBILEE SERVICE DAY
“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.”
Where would we be without incredible teachers? Let’s show our Bellevue teachers how much we love and appreciate all they to educate our kids. It’s so easy, join us as we give a few hours to serve at Spiritridge Elementary School.
We have the opportunity to do things like curriculum assembly, classroom organizing, arranging bookshelves, general cleaning, decorating, hanging things on walls, closet/cupboard organizing, and more. Your presence counts and makes a difference for these teachers as they prepare for a new school year.
The goal is to get things on the teachers “to-do” lists crossed off, so they can spend more time preparing for the students and school year.
Jubilee Service Day is an annual event in August which brings together people in the eastside community to serve at local public schools and homes. It started in 2005 with one church serving at one school, and now this day has grown to involve over 3,000 volunteers, 22 schools and at least 25 homes in August 2018. All ages are welcome! Bring your family, friends, neighbors . . . Let’s do this, together!
